10 yr old and 8 yr old fighting over it!
I bought this for my 8 year old son to get him interested more in education, logic and science. Little did I know my 10 year old daughter would want to play with this as well. Also, it's been a great for father/son/daughter bonding, as I can put the projects together with them. I don't write reviews often, but when I do, it's for a great product like this. My 8 year old was so happy with this toy ...

This game is great fun
I'm surprised that this game has reviews that are only 3 stars, it is a great party game. It is a blast to play and had all of us laughing. This is not a game for 12 year olds, I would strongly recommend it for people over 18, however. I love that it can be played in only a half hour, I want to scream when other trivia games go over the two hour mark. I thought many of the trivia questions were ...

Fun and educational
My grandaughther loved this product. She is a avid fan of Dora and Diego and she was able to share the wonderful experience of learning and having fun.

Still holds interest
My two little boys (aged 4.5 and 6) love this toy. After a year, they still play with it. To me, that makes it well worth the money. Both boys know how to hook it up to the television and insert the games. It can be difficult for the little ones to know that they've fully inserted the game. My six year old has a form of autism and some sensory issues. He gets good sensory input from ...

Never knew this could be so much fun!
My son played with this at a children's learning museum once and has wanted one ever since. I was skeptical, but suggested it to his aunt for a birthday present. I am impressed at the huge variety of projects kids can do. He just opened it yesterday and he and his best friend have been playing with it for HOURS. Totally cool, very educational, encourages imagination and is just plain fun!!

The kids can't put this down!
I bought this because we have every other V.smile toy and it seemed like a fun addition to our set. Our V.smile is mainly played with by my 3 year old but I was hoping my 10 year old would like this because she likes learning to type. Well my 10 and 12 year olds can't put this down! They LOVE the games. This has A LOT to do on it. They can practice typing with fun games, there are arcade ...

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Easel Paper (3 pack bundle)4 reviews

Melissa and Doug

Melissa and Doug, 2006

Very sturdy paper
This paper can withstand quite a bit. I just wish I could find it in stores instead of ordering it, but oh well. I would recommend this paper and have recommended Amazon since this is the only place that sells it the cheapest.

It's all he wants to do!
I bought this as a 7th birthday gift for my son, who is the kind of kid who wants to know how everything works. It comes with the plastic board to build circuits on, many, many circuit pieces, and three books of projects. It's been almost a month, and he is using this, and I'm not exaggerating, 3 or more hours per day -- first thing in the morning, after school, before bed... he just loves it. ...

Rose Art Smart! Easel19 reviews

Perfect for a limited space
We got this so our daughter could have one (this will be for her birthday) that can be put away when the space is needed for other things. It has a wrinkle where the whiteboard folds (and it gives a little when marking on). We tested it to know what to expect on her birthday. Other than that, it seems remarkably sturdy.

Rover Rocks --and so does the customer support
We love this toy. My daughter has spent many hours assembling the various rover variations covered in the accompanying manual. I highly recommend it for the educational component alone; it is also fun. But the real reason I am writing this review is because one of our components just stopped working. I called the company. "Jerry" took my information and said he'd send it right out. When I pointed ...

LeapFrog LeapPad Educational Book: Smart Guide to Kindergarten4 reviews

LeapFrog

LeapFrog

The Best book
Perhaps the best book for the LeapPad. My daughter started using it at age 3 and could read on her own and spell 3 and 4 letter words and more before starting kindergarten. Absolutely wonderful book and it helps kids learn on their own to further build their self confidence. A must have if you own the leap pad.

Cupcake Fun!
My 3.5 year old has not stopped playing with the cupcakes since we opened the package. My two year old and one year old are enjoying them too. It offers color sorting, shape identification, and counting for educational stimulation. Plus, there's the fun of making cupcakes over and over. Would highly recommend.

ThinkFun Chocolate Fix4 reviews

ThinkFun

ThinkFun, 2008

wonderful logic toy for ages 8+
Here we have another winner from the folks at ThinkFun. My 9 year old received this toy yesterday; I have played it a bit and found it quite challenging even at the "advanced" level (it goes up higher to "expert"). The premise of the game is straightforward. You have 9 chocolates in three colors and three shapes; you are given clues as to how to place them in the "chocolate box". Not as easy ...

Melissa & Doug USA Map 51-Piece Floor Puzzle18 reviews

Melissa and Doug

Melissa and Doug, 2006

Great tool to learn the names of the US states.
We used this puzzle in conjunction with The Scrambled States of America to help my second grader learn the names of the US states. This puzzle has well constructed pieces, and big pieces. Each states is its own piece (almost). With the "Scrambled States of America" each state had a personality. My son would then use the pieces in this puzzle to act out the characters. It made a topic, ...

Melissa & Doug Alphabet Train Floor Puzzle37 reviews

Melissa and Doug

Melissa and Doug, 2006

Excellent for letter recognition (the ABC song is not just a song)
This puzzle is a great beginning puzzle for a young pre-schooler. We bought this puzzle for our 3 year old. It is challenging for her as well as entertaining. I rated this puzzle 5 stars, but if 4.75 stars were an option, that would be a more accurate rating. It is not flawless - the main problem is that Melissa and Doug illustrated "X" with a fox, which obviously does not start with X. ...

ThinkFun, 2006

Absolutely the most fun educational toy I have ever seen!
I bought this toy for my 5 year old 2 years ago, when I started homeschooling and she is now doing the intermediate and advanced levels (which still challenge me). She always wants to play rush hour before starting her math lessons to put herself in a "mathematical mind frame" (her words). Every child who comes to our house & plays this game is hooked and asks to play next time. I am a ...

Great for adults with patient
Finding a solution takes at least a couple of hours for an adult with some skills and experiences on brain teasers. Putting it back after dissembling is near to impossible without looking into the manual. You need to be observant and persistent to enjoy the toy.

Love this toy!
I hesitated for a second before I bought this product because I thought that the price was too high. I feel differently now that I received it. It is made of thick, soft, durable material. It is a very fun and educational toy. My 6 year old and my 1 year old both really enjoy playing with it.

ThinkFun Shape By Shape7 reviews

ThinkFun

ThinkFun, 2008

Simple and fun, as a good child's toy should be
My 6 year old son just received this toy for the holidays. Both my wife and I played it with him last night, and we all enjoyed it. It's durable and well-engineered to fit compactly together. The puzzles are a nice degree of difficulty for a 6 year old, not to mention fun and challenging for adults. This is because the number of pieces is just right, not too many or too few, and the use of ...
