So far so good...
We've only had this toy for a week, but we love it so far. My son is only 9 months old, and he can't put the shapes in yet, but he loves releasing the toys and I'm sure will grow into enjoying all the aspects of the toy.

Fun, Educational, Well Made Wooden Toy.
Another great product from Melissa and Doug. As with all their wooden toys this is extremely well made. It is bright and colourful, and has a number of different educational aspects; Colours, shapes, numbers and also learning to put small objects on a thin shape. I am very impressed with this and although at this age (14 months) my little guy is only really putting the things on randomly I am ...

Colorful, Quality Toy
I chose to buy this shape sorter for my 12 month old because it is solid wood and the shapes only fit through their own holes. This is important, because MANY shape sorters have more shapes, but they will frequently fit through more than one shape hole. This toy good for Montessori-style learning, because it has the natural control of error. This toy is simple, but good quality, and my ...

Wonderful learning activity!
This is a wonderful toy for learning many beginning math concepts. At first glance you don't realize how much learning these little gingerbread people can inspire. There are a multitude of ways to sort and pattern with these. I bought them for my 2 1/2 year old, but my 7 year old loves them just as much. There is a short learning guide that comes with them with some great ideas for other ...

This is one of the best books I have found for teaching children to pay attention to details. Recognizing the spelling patterns of words and categorizing is something my second graders are getting very good at doing.I use this as part of their spelling homework every week! It may not be the same words, but they are learning to recognize the patterns and this transfers into words they encounter in ...

Possibly the most fun of the shape sorters.
Don't adhere too closely to the age guide on this one. A younger toddler can begin a process of discovery by simply trying to place the shapes on the pegs. (Most of the shapes will fit only on the correct pegs) With a little parental guidance toddlers can see and feel that the two holes fit on the two pegs. Once they grasp that concept they really can take off. Even if everything isn't quite ...

Nice buy for little kid around age 1+
I bought this for my daughter and she loved it at the first time she saw. The colors are bright and attractive. The shapes are just right for them to hold on their hands. This is more educative than other small toys such as cars or dolls.

not a good fit
It's frustrating to try to put the pegs in the board. Whenever you put them in, they fall out..the peg board shape does not fit the size of the peg properly.

Daughter has loved for 6 months and counting
My 18-month has had this since she was a year and has yet to tired of it, despite our buying her myriad other bath toys. She loves putting the blocks in the holes. The whale doesn't stay together so well, but it doesn't seem to matter. The little squirter doesn't work great, and that doesn't seem to matter either. She just loves it.

Great Toy!
We got this for our one-and-a-half year old, and he absolutely loved it! It immediately became his favorite toy, and he would play with it for long periods of time. He just turned two, and he still plays with it! Great baby toy!

My 3-year-old loves this!
My 3-year-old just got the Recycling Center and he loves it. He loves how he can put the separate recycle boxes in the building, slide the top lever, and have the recycled materials come out of each door. He can then dump it into train cars so he can take it to the dump. A red truck is able to back into his space and the truck horn (on the building) activates. Since my son likes to separate ...

Perfect for small children
This toy has been my child's favorite for nearly a year now. She generally moves from one toy to the next very quickly. However this toy holds her attention the longest. It has nice large pegs and is easy to stack. It is also good to learn colors, counting, sorting, and patterns. My older child also showed me that you can play a game with it. I am uncertain of the game's title but it is ...

Such a fun toy!
My daughter received this toy from Santa Clause & has had a lot of fun with it. She takes everyone camping, they play in the pool, she fixes their food & they eat at the table & then they sleep in the tent. As a mom, I love that everything fits in the camper so there aren't pieces all over the house when she is done. When you push it, it goes really far too!
