I got this set recently and so far it has proved durable but don't listen to me to much, as I have not played with it a lot. I woudn't recomend it for little children though because of some little parts a couple fragile things. Otherwise though it is a good collecters item and is fun to play with.

Fun, Fun, Fun!
I bought this for my daughter's third birthday, she loves horses! She asks to bring it out very often... and loves stamping and coloring her creations. Legs broke easy, not impressed with quality
I bought this as part of a Christmas stocking stuffer gift when it was on sale. Within a couple days, one of the legs broke or I think it was two of them. I had to throw them away. I also don't think they stood up on their own. The children found them boring and the quality was poor.

Pretty good scooter for beginners
This scooter was very easy to assemble. My son is not quite 3 years old and he can balance pretty easily on it, but it tips a little easier than I expected (after reading other reviews). Having said that, it has a nice, wide platform and I think it will be fine after he gets the hang of it. All in all, I'm very satisfied.

I think it teaches kids that having a horse isn`t just about riding and petting the horse. sooner or later you will have to feed , water and pick up after the horse. you can`t always have your parent`s doing the dirty work. it also is a nice addition to the barn because it gives it an authentic look.
