Great Educational Value
I love this Leapfrog explorer Globe. The price has really come down over the years, so I finally caved in and bought one. My friends and I (all around 25 years old) have actually had competitions that really help us to learn a great deal about the earths geography. It's a little embarrassing how little we know about the locations of countries, but this globe makes the learning fun and VERY ...

Fabulous book for a plane trip or anywhere! Now we're giving them as birthday presents.
I bought this book to take on a long international plane ride with my daughter, age six. This kept her busy for hours on the plane and during downtime on the trip. But here's the thing: it kept me busy too! So much fun. And it is HUGE--we still have many more pages to color. My daughter decided that she wants to give this book to friends on birthdays too.

My Book of Writing Words: Learning about Consonants and Vowels (Kumon Workbooks)

Great for my 5 year old.
Writing Words was so inviting to my 5 year old daughter. She opened it up and knew right away what she was to do, despite the fact that she cannot read and is not that sure of the orientation of her letters. The pages make her curious and she loves to trace and to write the letters in the blocks. These Kumon books are very subtle that way - they are easy and natural without being tricky or ...

MUST HAVE
This book is a must have. It is great for developmental learning and gives children directions that are easy to follow. I have worked with kids for several years and wish these books were out a long time ago so I could have spread the word sooner. Truly great books.

My daughter loves it
I was amazed to see the bad reviews. Is this workbook more fun than Nintendo? UMMM, no, it is a workbook. I use it to reinforce what we have been learning in other more visually stimulating books. Do look at the pages and notice that the student gets to cut out the letters of the word and paste them for one of the activities. She LOVES that and it gives her practice with her motor skills. ...

Fun Learning for PreK Kids At Their Own Pace
Whether a child is in preschool or staying at home in preparation for kindergarten, Brain Quest's PreK workbook will prove a valuable and fun tool. The book starts helping kids learn both colors and letters together (by instructing them to color letters a certain color), it moves onto covering simple numbers, some basic phonics and very simple reading basics, shapes, and some basic science. I ...

Impressive.
I cannot say whether my child loves the book or not. She's a little too young for it. I can say that she was very interested in the layout, graphics and variety of themes presented in the book. She thought it was a "story book" because of all the "pretty pictures". I am planning to homeschool and have looked at a variety of materials that will help my child continue to love learning as she does ...

I love this book!
I am a homeschooling mom, sadly lacking in the creativity department. I love this book and have found it to be a wonderful resource for art class. It's easy to use and dd loves the activities. This is the one subject I was really concerned about being able to adequately teach, but this book has made it so simple. In addition to just offering a creative outlet, it gives instruction in actual ...

excellent series of books
We live abroad and so our kids' English isn't up to the level of their peers in the States. We'll be moving back to the States this coming year though and I wanted to be able to see where exactly my kids stood vis-a-vis their English skills, so I could then work on the areas they needed help in. I bought the reading and writing books in this series from grades 1-4. The books are not only an ...

Children's World Map
This is a very sturdy map and comes with a legend. Children can find something of interest on the legend, then go to the map and find out what countries or country it corresponds to. It also has the planets (but it includes demoted Pluto, which is now considered a dwarf planet). It shows examples of cloud formations in the upper left. It staples quite well to the wall. The gromlets were ...

Digital Flash Cards and Music. What's not to like?
My son needed a study aid for school and was familiar with using flash cards and also wanted an MP3 player. This was the best of both worlds!! He loves the content and loves to rock out. It is also nice and small while still accepting traditional AAA batteries. Learning done right again by the Teachers at Leapfrog!! My neice in College could also use one of these. Great idea!

Great Resource!
This book is SO GREAT for teaching music and music themes at home. It works for any number of children, but it is best for a small group of about 3-6. I used it with only one, and it worked ok with some modification. Great variety of games that kids really enjoy playing!

Fabulous fun for both kid and adult
We were amazed how well laid out the quizzes were and it was a lot of fun for both kids and adults. It is a sure cry from the old format of learning. we loved the fact that there were so many skill sets covered from phonics, sequencing and sorting, shapes and measurements, social studies, science and the traditional areas like spelling, maths and reading. I highly recomend the brain quest ...

Very Helpful and Useful
The Reading TEacher's Book of Lists is good for any Elementary Teacher to have and use on a daily basis. There are lists of just about anything you need to teach reading. I found myself using this constantly in the classroom, right in front of the kids. Our spelling list was based on the use of silent letters. The kids wanted to know what other words there were, so we looked it up and came up ...
