Illuminated Mega Sudoku Puzzle Game6 reviews

Techno Source

Awesome--had one for over 2 years
I have had this product for well over 2 years. I have dropped it, gone through multiple batteries, and I love it. The backlighting makes it the easiest to use of all the electronic sudoku games I have tried, and haveing 2 modes (one that shows you a wrong answer) is great. I play this before bed or in the dark when I am outside on my balcony at night...absolutely love it. My dad gave it to me ...

Mad Cave Bird Games

Wonderful ColorKu Game!
My 11 year old niece received this for Christmas. We had so much fun playing with it; and it was nice to see strategy she used compared to mine. I bought two, one for me and one for my friends at a Real Estate Office to put in the conference room where people usually wait 30 minutes. At my birthday party, we had 12 different people fighting over who could study and play!

Sudoku Westminster Sudoku on a Puzzle Cube3 reviews

Westminster

Westminster

Fun Cube
This is one of the cheaper cubes. You have to be careful when you turn or you can break it. I have a few of these cheaper style cubes, and I've broken one already. I've made sure to be careful with this one. Lubricate this cube and you'll be OK. It's definitely a new twist on the Rubik's cube. Pay attention to the orientation before you scramble. It's tricky to re-assemble. I found this to ...

Wood Expressions

Beautifully made Sudoku set!
This is a beautiful Sudoku set. The large tiles have both black and red numbers (a number printed on each side), so you can distinguish which are the fixed numbers that you started out with and the ones you filled in yourself. The small numbered tiles, for trying out number combinations, are kept in a drawer on one side of the game, the larger tiles are kept in a drawer on the opposite side of ...

The back-lit screen is very readable, but don't expect iPhone-like wide angle of view
This product's back-lit LCD screen is very readable. I am almost 50 years of age and my eyesight is becoming blurry, but I have no problem with the screen on this electronic Sudoku gadget. Don't expect iPhone-like wide angle of view. For a product of this type and price, I don't want to be that critical. The instructions could stand a lot of improvement. It's not difficult to print a nice sheet ...

ThinkFun Chocolate Fix5 reviews

ThinkFun

ThinkFun, 2008

wonderful logic toy for ages 8+
Here we have another winner from the folks at ThinkFun. My 9 year old received this toy yesterday; I have played it a bit and found it quite challenging even at the "advanced" level (it goes up higher to "expert"). The premise of the game is straightforward. You have 9 chocolates in three colors and three shapes; you are given clues as to how to place them in the "chocolate box". Not as easy ...

Deluxe Wooden Sudoku Board Game - A Sudoku Game Board Masterpiece4 reviews

The Elverson Puzzle Company

The Elverson Puzzle Company

Beautiful, High Quality Sudoku Board
There are several Sudoku players in my family. I thought it would be nice to get a Sudoku game board for the vacation house on the Chesapeake Bay for those in-between hours of the day. Having a game board would get rid of the clutter caused by paper sheets in past years. I looked at a few others but chose the Elverson Puzzle board even though it was a bit more expensive. This board is ...

Radica Games

Radica Games, 2006

Great Sudoku Game!
This game is great for several reasons: 1) The screen is large and easy to read; 2) The included dry erease pen allows the user to make notes on the screen (a must for any serious Sudoku player); 3) The game has four skill levels; 4) Each game is timed so the player can track his best and average times. It's a fun game that has a lot of great features.

Good Grief look at the price!
What do you want for 12bucks? I don't know where the high dollar value came from, but I never paid that much for one. The first one I had was buggy I and sucked the battery down pretty quick, but with the back lighting, I can see well enough to play and the shift to cells AAA if memory serves helped a lot. I love the touch screen and the way the numbers on the bottom clear when you use them ...

Suduko Board
Nice wooden board. NO MORE ERASING!! But it doesn't have enough of the small numbers to completely work the harder puzzles. Also, it only hold 4 small numbers. Went to the local hobby store to get wood to make more small numbers.

Su Doku for Dummies (Sudoku)31 reviews
Andrew Heron, Edmund James

For Dummies, 2005

Best Book for Beginners & Sudoku Lovers
This initial Su Doku for DUMMIES book ranks as the first and the best book for Sudoku lovers. Hands down, no comparison. My husband and I cut our teeth on its instructions. We collected other books in the process, but we ALWAYS returned to this one. Even the other SUDOKU FOR DUMMIES books don't compare to this volume (I can't explain why this would be true... I just state it). We have ...

ThinkFun Sudoku 5x55 reviews

ThinkFun

ThinkFun, 2006

Great for the Classroom
My students love sudoku puzzles, but the 9 x 9's are hard for the average second grader. So this is a perfect starting place. They experience success as they move up through the levels of difficulty. It makes a great gift for people who like to give "educational gifts" to their children or grandchildren. It travels nicely, too. It would keep children occupied in the car. Buy it! I've ...

Winning Moves

Winning Moves, 2006

Dr. Rubik taught me how to play Sudoku
I have been wanted a non-electronic non-paper Sudoku game for some time. Rubik's Sudoku is a self contained single player game board. I can move it from room to room without the playing pieces moving from where I have placed them on the board. There is one extra piece for each number/color tile included. With the color coding it is easy to learn the strategy behind Sudoku. I was not picking ...

Sudoku fans
This is a great game for kids of all ages who love Sudoku. It can be used alone or as a family game. The one thing I did was to upgrade it myself with some better markers, eraser, and cleaner. Those items are relatively inexpensive and helps the board last for lots of use.

Think Fun

Excellent Educational Activity
Suduko Jr. is a wonderful educational game that children can do by themselves. There are 4 levels of challenges and over 40 cards to do. It is magnetic and holds all the numbers and cards neatly in a small self contained box. It's durable, quiet and well organized. It teaches reasoning and logic. My two girls ages 4 and 6 love to do this activity. I even bought one for their classroom. ...

American Classic

Sudoku Cube - more of a novelty
It's a neat idea & colorful. However, it isn't as entertaining as a regular rubiks cube. Also, you can feel wiggle in the blocks & have to shift it around to get it seated so you can turn a row. I think it makes a fun novelty gift for a sudoku fan, but not a real mind bender puzzle.

Sudoku Easy Presented by Will Shortz Volume 1: 100 Wordless Crossword Puzzles22 reviews
Will Shortz

St. Martin's Griffin, 2005

Well done
I bought (and eventually burned) another Sudoku book which had very inaccurately grouped puzzles. It's very first puzzle, supposedly "gentle", was in fact pretty difficult. I got very annoyed with the book. By contrast, this Will Shortz book seems to have done a good job of ranking the puzzles. It's a very simple book. Well done. I've gotten hours of enjoyment from solving theses puzzles.
