Simple and fun, as a good child's toy should be
My 6 year old son just received this toy for the holidays. Both my wife and I played it with him last night, and we all enjoyed it. It's durable and well-engineered to fit compactly together. The puzzles are a nice degree of difficulty for a 6 year old, not to mention fun and challenging for adults. This is because the number of pieces is just right, not too many or too few, and the use of ...

Great for learning patience and fine motor skills
My son was three when we purchased this and as long as I got him started and came by to look at each completed picture, he would keep himself busy getting all the pieces in "just the right spot" while I cooked, cleaned...etc. The boards are two-sided. We keep the pieces in a ziploc bag.

Great toy!
I just got this toy for my 28 month old. She is a little younger than the recommended age but very mature, so I thought I'd try this with her. She finished cards 1-10 this morning, but I have to sit with her and do them "together," meaning I have to talk through it with her... (What shape do we need? What color?), though I do not help her actually handle the pieces. His 3.5 year old brother is ...

A classic!!!
You should see the shape our Supermind is in, after five years of use. The box is tattered, the cards are bent, and a few of the shapes have been replaced with cardstock cutouts. But to my mind, this is a sign of a well-loved activity! Supermind develops spatial and planning skills, particularly if the kids put the blocks down incorrectly and must rethink how to make the picture turn out ...

challenging little game
A fun learning game. Arranging the pieces in various configurations to make the shape shown on each card is more challenging than you think! Builds good spatial relationship skills. Good game for all ages, as kids with good spatial skills can beat adults. Nice compact size is good for travel, too. Can play solo, as well.

3-D FUN!
At first my 7 year old had a bit of difficulty with the concept, but once she figured it out, she loves it! The idea is to use the cube combos that come in the package to make the designed printed on the cards that come with the set. It sounds easy, but it is rather challenging. It builds spatial perception and logical thinking in a game!

A really fabulous buy
This is an excellent tool for building an understanding of color, shapes, and patterns. There is so much room for learning by using this toy! And best of all, it's fun! And, for us moms out there, keeping up with it is a breeze. It comes with it's own vinyl storage case, and who can beat magnetic pieces that stick to the board to ease your child's frustrations if the pieces don't "stay" where ...

my 4 yr old loves this
We saw this in the gift shop of our local science museum and just gave it to 4 yr old daughter as a birthday gift. She's loving it! The two levels are perfect for her age. Level 1 shows how the shapes fit into the bigger picture. Level 2 either tests memory or creativity. Great puzzle.

Addictive fun for all ages!
This game is so much fun! I purchased it years ago, and raced through it! I am 23 years old, and still like to pick it up once in a while - it challenges me to this day. The cards you are given look easy, but as you work your way through the deck you realize it's not as easy as you think. People of any age group will find it fun, but addictive. As you play, you learn to visualize things in ...

My son is thrilled
My 9 year old son is very happy with this product, which calls for logical thinking. The number score counters are hard to push along, but otherwise it's very good quality.

Quality Educational Toy
This toy is amazing! My children both love it and will play with this toy for 30+ minutes! I think the age category is a little on the high side. My 4 year old does all levels independently and my 2 year old can do some of level one independently and level 2 with assistance.

An excellent family game
My 10 year old loves this game. Any kids and/or adults who play like it also. Even my 3 year old can play on a team with someone. The goal is to fill you board with shapes, but there are a few rules that make it intriguing. It is fun and gets a little competitive as the game progresses. Excellent for teaching basic geometry skills. I hope this game becomes available again, as I would like ...

Beautiful, Classic Tangram Set
This is a traditional tangram set with real class. It is small, just the right size for working. The pieces fit against each other beautifully. The case is great and the booklet is, too. It is a terrific choice for anyone.

Great across-the-curriculum math resource w/ gorgeous art
I can highly recommend this book to parents and teachers. It's well-written with characters that come alive through some of the nicest children's book art work I've seen this year. We used the tanagram puzzle pattern at the end of the book, and went on to make up our own, too. I think it's an excellent introduction to geometry. Plus we talked about ancient China vs. China today. You hear a ...

Tangoes travel puzzle - animals
We bought this for our 5-year-old son and he has enjoyed putting together the different animal puzzles. It kept him occupied for about 30 minutes at a time during a car trip. He sometimes needs help with the puzzles but has been able to follow the diagrams and put together many of the puzzles by himself. The puzzle book is a handy size and has over 20 different puzzles to make - the magnets ...
