Attention All Kids!
I am so glad I found this video. When I was a kid growing up in Ohio in the 1960's we used to listen to the 45 record of Chicken Fat in Gym class all the time and we all loved it. It was really because of Chicken Fat that I became interested in fitness. Today I own a gym for both children and adults and have begun to use Chicken Fat for my Kid class's and they love it. The Mom's and Dad's join in ...

Great workout!
One word of caution...beginner. It really is best if you get the series (strength or stamina) and become really good at one of those first. This one is a little challenging if you are not in good shape already or if you unfamiliar with yoga poses. Otherwise, the tape is a solid workout and not too long. Before this workout I had a relatively weak upper body, but this has made me much ...

AM/PM Yoga for Beginners
This is the second copy of this video. The yoga is simply relaxing, soothing and provides stretches for many body areas. The soothing voice of Rodney Yee and music provided is an added feature. Love it!

fun for all
My group of kids ages 6 -11 all love this video. It's a riot to see them all trying the different poses. They ask for this video on an "indoor day" when it is snowing or raining. Even the most awkward kids enjoy trying because it is very low key and presented as a learning experience. They are often surprised at what they can do!!

A Great Beginner's Tai Chi Video
Here's a video I go back to over and over again as reference for basic moves in Tai Chi. It's a down-to-earth, easy to follow video that tells you want you need and want to know. The pace of this video is perfect. While some tapes spend so much time on "warm-ups". Warm-ups are here, but they don't get in the way of your jumping into the Tai Chi moves that you really want to learn. Some tapes are ...

Gave Me the Confidence to Begin Yoga
This is a wonderful tape for the older person, the beginner, or for those who are reluctant to begin Yoga. Watching the older people master the yoga moves is definitely a confidence builder for anyone. Start with this and move on to a more advanced program if you so desire.

An Outstanding Yoga Tape For All Ages!
Back pain and headache became a constant for me following an accident back in 1981. Many painful years and far too many pain pills later, I broke down and bought a yoga tape because so many people advised me to try yoga for relief. That wonderful day was over 6 years ago, and I have not missed ONE day doing yoga since then. Dixie's tape introduced me to positions gradually and allowed me to ease ...

My go-to yoga tape!
This was one of two tapes I got when I started practicing yoga. (The other was Living Arts Total Yoga, which I also like, but which is somewhat different in style and is 60 minutes long.) I agree with other reviewers that Rodney Yee goes through the poses very quickly, not allowing much time to contemplate them or adjust into them. But as a beginner, I did not find this an impediment to ...

Helpful poses, good flow to routine
I have been using this video since the beginning of my pregnancy and I am now almost 6 months along. I find that I appreciate it more as time goes on, because many of the poses help alleviate lower back pain I have from the changes in my body, and I can tell I feel stronger as my body keeps getting bigger. The background music is nice, the instructor's tone is pleasant, and the routine as a ...

Great relaxing workout
This tape is phenomenal. I never thought I could find an ab workout relaxing, but that's exactly what this tape offers. There's a strong focus on breathing and some of the new age things you come to expect with yoga, but it definately provides a great ab workout in a short amount of time. Yee's voice is soothing and he's very discriptive about what he's doing so it's easy to follow along. ...

Tai chi for seniors w/Qi Gong warm up with Mark Johnson
After seeing this preview on collagevideo com & then another on his own site TaiChiForSeniorsVideo com I had to order it. The video is about 57 min. Qi Gong - Warm up - 19 min Mark starts with Qi Gong warm up exercises that I've seen on my favorite Qi Qong DVD "Discovering Chi" w/Linda Modero & also Dr. Yang Jwing Ming's "Eight Simple Qigong Exercises For Health - The 8 Pieces of Brocade." ...

Leah Kalish does it again
As I wrote in a previous review, my older daughter (now 9.5) loves Yoga Fitness for Kids, 7 to 12. Earlier this year, my four-year old started doing some yoga postures with me, and I decided to try this video out. Just perfect. The program is about twenty minutes long and includes a "warmup" where the kids get to pretend that they're different shapes and colors. Then we move into postures very ...

My kids love these videos!
This set of videos featuring Marsha Wenig, founder of YogaKids, was developed for children ages 3-8. Kids sing silly songs while performing assorted fun and funny yoga asanas. Children learn basic yoga techniques presented in a relaxed setting. This is especially suitable for younger yogis who may not have a long attention span or an interest in holding a pose for long periods of time. In ...

Excellent video for back pain
After suffering with back pain for months and using doctor prescribed strong painkillers, I got very little relief and wasn't keen on continuing using painkillers long term. Gradually I started researching alternatives and read reviews for this video and bought it. I don't have enough good things to say about this video, it gave me relief within days, I don't have back pain anymore. Now I use ...

A Wonderful Introduction to Yoga
"Jane Fonda's Yoga Exercise Workout" is not only the most wonderful introduction to Yoga, but it makes you want to come back for more. Although I work out several times a week, I am new to Yoga, and was absolutly amazed at how I felt after just the first class. It gave me energy, improved my balance(when you get to be a "certain age", these things start to dwindle), and left me feeling like I'd ...

This is the best!
I checked this video out of the library once when I was having severe muscle stiffness. I'm a mesomorph, and tend to get very musclebound when I train. When I saw it for sale, I had to have it! The workout is not at all strenuous, but is excellent for joints, flexibility, and muscle tone. I like to use it in combination with Rodney Yee's "Yoga Conditoning for Athletes," on days when I don't ...

Good workout in my opinion
This tape is a half and half type of workout. The first half is Yoga and is about 20 minutes. She uses the word functional yoga in her description of some of her exercises. The second half is Pilates. During this section it is advised that you use 3-5 pound weights. I find that if I am running low on exercise time, that I can do the Yoga one day and do the Pilates part the next day. The ...

Delivers what it promises!
Although there are many yoga videos that claim to be "relaxing," most move too quickly to allow you to truly relax into the poses. I'm happy to say that Kripalu Yoga: Gentle is different, as it delivers exactly the gentle, relaxing yoga practice that it promises. The video consists of two half hour practices (the first is slightly longer) designed to be done either together or separately. The ...
