Best Episodes EVER!!!
If I could give this series 6 stars I would. These films were an absolutely amazing breakthrough in cinematography. These movies, while slightly hokey by today's standards, have stood the test of time with amazing resilience. This version with the remastered sound but no change in the screenplay or visual effects is by far the best of all of Lucas' films.

Why isn't this series on DVD? Watched this quality drama as a Brit. studying abroad and it made me research Vietnam for my doctorate!

Probably the best Trilogy in the known universe ever
It took me ages to see what the hype was about and I wasn't disappointed. It would have been nice to see what it was like before it was remastered but in the end I was really happy with the film, it is a classic. It's not very often that trilogy's work (i.e. the other trilogy) but this does. There is everything you want to in a film, forget it's a sci-fi and enjoy the story.

I love this movie. I love the storyline but it would even be better if there wasn't so much kissing. But overall this is an awesome movie.

Laura Palmer is dead . . . wrapped in plastic . . .
I am taking a trip to the Seattle area this week and decided that I wanted to have lunch at the Great Northern Hotel, owned by Benjamin Horne (est. 1927). The hotel, which offers its guests a spectacular view of Whitetail Falls, is located slightly north of Twin Peaks, just below the base of Black Lake. The Great Northern is actually the Salish Lodge, perched on a hillside just above Snoqualmie ...

Welcome To The Night Gallery
Those opening words by writer, host and all round creative genius Rod Serling paved the way for viewers to enjoy many intriguing stories of mystery, mayhem and the supernatural during the three year run of the classic series "Night Gallery". A brain child of Serling who had earlier been responsible for the creation of one of televisions most innovative and best remembered series in the classic ...

A Tender Adventure
Star Trek was a wonderful series despite not ever being able to live up to its awesome potential due to serious financial limitations. Granted the special effects don't measure up to today's wowing computer graphics, but the talent of the cast made up for it. How I wish that Paramount had caught the true potential and had committed to it. What a series it would have been! In this episode, ...

should have been a mini-series
this movie was pretty good but didn't need to be a movie. a tv mini-series maybe but not a feature film. this movie could have been summed up in a few minutes at the beginning of attack of the clones with a shot of obi wan and qui gon walking with padme, meeting anakin as a boy and obi wan telling him he will make him a jedi and him waving good bye to his mother. sidius tells darth maul to ...

Good fun with a little drama
"Return of the Jedi" is the third film in the Star Wars trilogy. In this movie the Empire is building a new Death Star and through informers the Rebels have found out how to destroy it. The Rebels decide to send a team out to destroy a machine on the forest moon of Endor that provides a force field for the Death Star in construction. Once the force field is gone Rebel ships will enter the Death ...

One Of The Finest Hours Of The Original Series
"The Trouble With Tribbles" is my personal favorite among the nearly 80 hours of the original "Star Trek" series. It is unquestionably the funniest, with David Gerrold's deft, wittty prose creating hilarious scenes and dialogue as precious as any I've seen on Jackie Gleason's "The Honeymooners". James Doohan's Scotty steals many of the scenes he's in, though highest honors for hilarity deservedly ...

Wonderful episode, haunting melody
I agree with everyone else - this may well be the most wonderful episode of TV drama ever. I have seen it again and again and I always love it. I am a lifelong Star Trek fan and I wanted to share a wonderful recent experience. My daughters and I went to see the National Symphony Orchestra perform "To Boldly Go, (narrated by Leonard Nimoy)" at Wolf Trap in Virginia, and they included the melody ...

This documentary is the finest historical film I have yet seen. It starts with Henry Hudson discovering one of the greatest natural ports in the world, and takes us through the development of the little village of New Amsterdam thru the rise of New York City as the worlds commercial and cultural capitol. The epic journey of African slaves and immigrants from around the world, striving to ...

Good episode of the classic Trek
I don't see why a lot of people didn't like the "Metamorphosis" episode of Star Trek because I thought it was pretty good. A man that is a well known explorer is stranded on a planet along with a cloud-like being that keeps him young and healthy by floating over him and 'talking' to him. Kirk and the crew must do something to get off the planet while they try to find out more about the ...

No flies on Dave and Maddie in the "Moonlighting" pilot
With the first two season of "Moonlighting" now out on DVD, the demand for just the pilot episode will be considerably less than before. But there is still something special about our introduction to Dave and Maddie, especially since it is more fun to remember the beginning of the series than to recall how it all ended. Written by Glen Gordon Caron and directed by Robert Butler, the ...

Look Past Edited
I have to somewhat agree with what most people are saying about the unedited blah, blah, blah....grumble grumble, blah, blah, blah. That said, most people seeing these now have to realize this show was edited and intended for kids when it was first released in the US, like the Transformers was in the 80's; it was toned down to reach a wider audience and television then hadn't begun to allow the ...

A Top-Notch Nail Biter
This is The Original Series' most intense episode, and still elicits nail-biting even after numerous viewings. While other reviews have given us the story line in brief, suffice it to say that with it's limited budget, this episode holds up well and upped the bar for all TV Science Fiction to follow. "Doomsday Machine" went over budget due to special FX issues, and up to it's time was the ...
