Wind in the Willows [VHS]5 reviews

Buena Vista Home Ent, 1991

You'll Love Mr. Toad!
The English story of life among the small animals on the riverbank has been recreated with loveable characters and lots of humor and excitement. Mr. Toad is a wealthy, devil-may-care madcap who buys a motor car, goes to jail, and escapes dressed a girl! This is a funny movie that can be enjoyed by adults as well as children. A classic!

Broken Arrow (1950) [VHS]46 reviews
James Stewart, Jeff Chandler

20th Century Fox, 1998

A Real Western/Native American Story.
A great film based on one of the most researched novels of its day. The original book was called *Blood Brother* by Elliot Arnold. Highly accurate, it gave insight into the real lives of the Chiricahua Apache and their leader, Cochise. A must see and read for any lover of western or American Indian history.

Labyrinth [VHS]983 reviews
David Bowie, Jennifer Connelly

Nelson Entertainment, 1994

"80's Fantasy Classic!"
David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly star in Jim Henson's 1986 fantasy. A girl wishes for her baby brother to be taken by goblins and must rescue him from a goblin king. I've loved this film since I was six years old and glad to have this anniversary edition that has nice picture and sound plus neat extras. I highly recommend this 80's fantasy classic.

Willow [VHS]375 reviews
Val Kilmer, Joanne Whalley

Sony Pictures, 1994

Fantasy for the whole family.
I originally saw this with my daughter at a preview thanks to working for a record company. We loved it's beauty and humour and have just bought a new copy(wasn't giving mine away) for my 2 granddaughters. This movie transcends time and gender, I have watched it with my 3 sons also and have enjoyed watching their appreciation for the spellbinding drama, the captivating action and the great ...

Ladyhawke Transcends Soundtrack
This past weekend I watched Ladyhawke, a 1985 flick, again. I was drawn into the fantasy world of Etienne Navarre and Isabeau d'Anjou, two lovers cursed by the Cardinal whose love Isabeau had scorned. The only drawback to this wonderful film is the soundtrack. I'd love to see them re-score this film. I'd be in line to get a copy of it. This emotion-drenched story is so compelling, so ...

Legend [VHS]500 reviews
Tom Cruise, Mia Sara

Universal Studios, 1998

legend (ultimate edition)
This is so much better then the orignal version. I can watch the director's version, which has more suspence, and there is more of a background to the film. I recommend this to everyone, be they are lover of fairy tales or fanatsy films, or Ridley Scott films. It is great!!!!

Valley of the Sun [VHS]2 reviews
Lucille Ball, James Craig

Warner Home Video, 1989

An RKO blockbuster.
James Craig stars as Indian scout Jonathan, whose pro-Native American sentiments do not rest well with crooked civilian Indian agent Jim Sawyer played by Dean Jagger, who intends to benefit from an impending tribal uprising. Court-martialed on a trumped-up charge by Sawyer, Jonathan escapes the stockade with the help of a friendly sergeant and rides off to Washington DC, hoping to forestall an ...

My Little Pony:End of Flutter Valley [VHS]1 review
Lalainia Lindbjerg, Brigitta Dau

Golden Books Publish, 1989

My favorite Disney show.
I saw this on Disney a while back. I wish I could have this tape. It's about the flutter ponies home flutter valley losing the sun stone. They go through many trials and make new friends. The witches from the volcano of gloom cause just as much trouble. If you want to know what happens I recommend you buy this tape.

The Neverending Story : The Animated Adventures of Bastian Balthazar Bux [VHS]358 reviews
Noah Hathaway, Barret Oliver

Hbo Home Video, 1999

Blu Ray is the way to see this movie
The Neverending Story has been my favorite movie ever since I was a young child and was very excited to see it come out on Blu Ray. I was skeptical on how Warner Brothers would do on the Blu Ray transfer and let me say that they did an amazing job. Sure there's no special features on the disc at all and it's just the movie, but we now get something that we never had before. 5.1 Surround Sound. ...

The Man From Button Willow [VHS]4 reviews
Dale Robertson, Edgar Buchanan

Allumination Filmwor, 1990

RARE animated musical westen
This is a really rare animated western story set in the late 1800's, with a historic group of actors for the voices . It features the voice talents of cowboy star Dale Robertson in the lead as rancher Justin Eagle; Howard Keel who sings the really nice title song; Barbara Jen Wong as voice of Stormy; Other voice actors include singing and ukulele star Cliff Edwards (also the voice of Disney's ...

Wind in the Willows [VHS]2 reviews
Charles Nelson Reilly, Roddy McDowall

Warner Home Video, 1993

A Classic From My Childhood Still Holds Up Well Today!
Like most who've already reviewed here, I grew up watching this underappreciated gem, and so it holds a very dear place in my heart. But after watching it recently (having been fortunate enough to finally get ahold of a copy), I can safely state that this movie holds up remarkably well. The story itself is an overall very faithful adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's book. True, Toad's a bit ...

Krull [VHS]126 reviews
Ken Marshall, Lysette Anthony

Sony Pictures, 1996

Excellent, for those who can get their hands on the proper version!
As long as you receive the right DVD, it's certainly worth the money, and then some. The version with Digital Copy is sorely lacking in special features and anyone who has received that version should seek to get a refund and try buying through the other sellers. I finally managed to get a copy of the Special Edition through one of the other sellers and it's actually worth all the effort I had to ...

The Wind in the Willows [VHS]144 reviews
Alan Bennett, Michael Palin

Good Times Video, 2001

Oustanding audio dramatization
Just to be clear, this review is not of Kenneth Grahame's book itself (which gets six stars out of five, in my opinion) but of this BBC radio dramatization of it. It came out in the mid-1990s, and I certainly wish BBC would reissue it again on CD! It's the best retelling I've ever heard - it doesn't "dumb down" the story, but makes it fresh, alive, and dramatic for listeners of all ages. Bring ...

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie [VHS]23 reviews
John Goodman, Bob Newhart

Good Times Video, 2001

Love it!
I am over 6 yrs. old and I long to see this movie again. It was my favorite when I was younger.I love the fairies and Zoey. i happen to think it is better than the original. The 1964 one was to plain and boring this one was spiced up. I have'nt seen it for so long bescause they don't have it at our new stupid blockbuster. For those of you who said it was retarted and stupid... you are just wrong!
